Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

This policy explains how Relly handles account data, workspace data, resume evidence, job-search materials, ATS reports, Interviewing prep, rehearsal data, AI run records, billing data, provider data, and operational logs.

1. Scope and product context

This Privacy Policy explains how Relly collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, authenticated app, resume tools, ATS reports, career document workflows, Interviewing prep content, rehearsal features, billing, support, and related services.

Relly is built for job-search preparation. It helps users organize real career evidence, improve application materials, study interview questions, and practice answers. It is not a live interview assistant.

If you use Relly through a workspace controlled by another person or organization, that workspace owner or administrator may also decide how workspace data is used, retained, exported, or deleted.

2. Data you provide or create

We collect account and workspace data, such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, workspace memberships, roles, onboarding profile, target role, seniority, location preferences, company preferences, style preferences, and login activity.

We collect resume and application data you provide or create, including resume uploads, parsed resume text, structured resume sections, resume versions, accepted or rejected AI suggestions, ATS findings, job descriptions, job targets where available, cover letters, resignation letters, other generated documents, exports, notes, and private file artifacts.

We collect Interviewing and practice data, including saved packs or answer cards, study progress, confidence markers, notes, personalized outlines, typed or recorded rehearsal answers where available, transcripts where available, rubric feedback, and attempt history.

We collect billing and entitlement data, such as plan, subscription status, usage credits, checkout and customer portal activity, invoices, payment status, and provider webhook records. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor rather than stored directly by Relly.

3. Data collected automatically or from providers

We automatically collect technical and operational data, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, actions taken, session signals, rate-limit counters, logs, errors, security events, analytics events, support interactions, and background-job status.

We collect provider and workflow metadata needed to operate Relly, including authentication events, storage events, export jobs, AI provider usage, model or provider names, token or cost metadata where available, vector-search metadata, email or SMS delivery status, and webhook processing records.

We may receive limited data from service providers when they return results, errors, delivery status, billing status, abuse signals, or security alerts needed to provide and protect the service.

4. AI and Interviewing processing

AI workflows may process selected resume evidence, career profile fields, job descriptions, document drafts, interview questions, answer-card context, user answers, and user instructions so Relly can generate grounded suggestions, summaries, outlines, reports, or feedback.

Relly records AI run metadata for auditability, such as task type, prompt version, provider, model, input hash, related entity, output, usage, status, errors, workspace, and user. These records help us explain results, troubleshoot issues, enforce limits, and investigate abuse.

Relly's AI features are designed to rewrite, structure, and critique user-provided evidence. They should not be used to invent employers, degrees, certifications, accomplishments, metrics, or interview experiences.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use customer resume, job-search, or interview data to train public AI models unless we clearly state otherwise and obtain appropriate permission.

5. How we use data

We use personal data to authenticate users, create and manage workspaces, import resumes, maintain resume versions, generate and edit documents, create exports, run ATS checks, manage job-target workflows where available, deliver Interviewing study content, personalize prep, score practice answers, allocate credits, process billing, provide support, and secure the service.

We use operational data to debug workflows, measure product performance, monitor abuse, enforce entitlements and rate limits, reconcile provider webhooks, maintain audit records, and comply with legal or financial obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, quality improvement, benchmarking, product planning, and business reporting, provided it does not identify a specific person or workspace.

6. Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers that help us operate Relly, including hosting, database, authentication, storage, payments, workflow orchestration, email, SMS, caching, vector search, AI, analytics, error monitoring, fraud prevention, and customer support providers.

Workspace members may see workspace content according to their role and product permissions. Workspace owners and administrators may be able to invite users, remove users, manage billing, export files, or request deletion of workspace data.

We may share data when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to enforce our terms, to prevent fraud or abuse, to investigate security issues, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

7. Controls and privacy rights

You can update many account, profile, resume, document, Interviewing, and workspace fields directly in the app. You may export resumes and generated documents through product export features when available for your plan.

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or consent withdrawal where those rights apply. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit requests where permitted by law.

Deleting content from the app may not immediately remove backups, audit records, billing records, security logs, AI run records, or records we must keep for legal, financial, abuse-prevention, or operational reasons.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, preserve resume and document history, maintain workspaces, process billing, reconcile usage credits, provide support, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business operations.

We may retain workflow logs, AI run records, billing records, usage events, webhook records, security logs, export records, and deletion records after account closure where needed for auditability, legal, compliance, financial, security, or operational reasons.

Exported files that you download, share, email, upload to job boards, or store outside Relly are controlled by you and are not deleted when you delete the copy inside Relly.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including managed infrastructure, access controls, workspace scoping, private storage patterns, signed links where appropriate, logging, rate limits, and provider-level security controls.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for securing your login credentials, devices, workspace invites, integrations, exported files, and any application materials you share outside Relly.

10. Cookies, children, changes, and contact

Some cookies and similar technologies are necessary for authentication, security, workspace routing, billing, and core app functionality. Optional analytics or monitoring tools may be disabled, limited, or changed as the product evolves.

Relly is not directed to children and should not be used by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date.

Privacy questions or requests can be sent through the contact channel listed on the Relly website or app. This policy is a product template and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before relying on it as final legal policy.
